The Gospel is like fire, and persecution like wind -it tries to blow it out, but most of the time just fans the flame in wave after waves until it rages out of control. The blood of the martyrs is the seed of the church, and China has had her share of martyrdom and persecution. Yet Christ builds His church and the gates of Hell cannot prevail against it. This great Gospel of the glory of Christ cannot be stopped, for there is a risen Lord seeing to it that His name is made famous among the nations. Kings may oppose, wicked men may persecute, devils may resist, but He is more powerful than all and His Word will prevail and triumph until the end.
